Hyuuga Natsume is the main male protagonist (or antagonist?) in the anime/manga Gakuen Alice. The series follows the story of 10-yr-old Sakura Mikan who chases after her best friend to her new school Alice Gakuen, where she finds out the school is for people with special powers (think X-men) called alices. Of course she turns out to have one too, and gets accepted into the school.

One of the first few people she meets upon arrival at the school is her future classmate Natsume, and they get off on a...very bad start. Needless to say they are not on good terms with each other, but events always draw them together, so we get to see more Natsume! :D

Description:
Natsume is a genius student with a powerful alice and good control over it. He acts cool and mysterious most of the time (though he seems to have a slight perverted streak) and rebels often, frequently trying to escape Alice Gakuen which he hates. It appears he has not had an easy past and was rumoured to have burnt down an entire village when he was 8.

Currently he is somehow being controled by Persona, the teacher-in-charge of the 'Dangerous Ability' students, and does underground dirty work for the school where he is known by his enemies as the Black Cat (or Kuroneko, wherein comes the name for this site). However, Natsume has a positive side to him as well, being fiercely defensive of his best friend Luca, and more recently, Mikan as well.
